Awards

In September 2021 The Friends were awarded the Bexhill Crest by the Charter Trustees of Bexhill.  The award of the Crest is given to mark exceptional service and the high esteem in which an organisation is held in the local community.  The award was presented at a Ceremony at the Town Hall on 1st September by the past Mayor of Bexhill Counsellor Kathy Harmer.  The Ceremony was attended by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex, The High Sheriff, past Mayors and the current Mayor and Deputy Mayor as well as the local counsellors.

At the Bexhill-on-Sea Town Council Civic Awards held on 18th April 2026, The Friends of Lossie Long won the Mullens Trophy Cup for outstanding community group. Alexander and Tim were given individual awards for demonstrating outstanding citizenship.
