"The volunteers from 'The Friends of Lossie Long' have become a very important part of my life. During the lockdown they checked to see if I was alright and if I needed anything; helped me with shopping, with collecting medicines, with getting me to hospital appointments plus they arranged a once a week meal provided and delivered by kind, smiling supportive people who had given up their own time by volunteering to help others. The most important part however was the love and support that they offered to all of us during a very lonely and trying time".

But once COVID hit, this wonderful group of volunteers….delivered a hot meal to me once a week, all for free. They would ring me up to check if I was alright….and then my food package was delivered by enthusiastic volunteers, safely left in my porch as I was shielding”.
